Chicken with Tamari Sauce and Vegetables is a flavorful and balanced dish, perfect for those looking for a light yet tasty main course. Thanks to organic tamari sauce, this gluten-free recipe is suitable for everyone and can be prepared in just a few simple steps.

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 500 g of chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 50 ml of organic tamari sauce
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 zucchini, julienned
  • 2 spring onions, sliced (white and light green parts)
  • 100 g of white cabbage, finely shredded
  • 2 tablespoons of Benvolio Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Preparation

1. Prepare the ingredients

Wash and prepare the vegetables:
  • Slice the spring onions thinly.
  • Peel the carrot and cut it into thin slices.
  • Wash the zucchini and cut it into julienne strips.
  • Shred the white cabbage finely.
Cut the chicken breast into thin strips to ensure even cooking.

2. Cook the vegetables

In a non-stick pan, heat 1 tablespoon of organic extra virgin olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for a few seconds without burning it. Add the prepared vegetables and stir-fry over high heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently. The vegetables should be cooked but still crisp.

3. Cook the chicken

In another pan, heat the remaining olive oil and add the chicken. Cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.

4. Add the tamari sauce

Add the chicken to the sautéed vegetables, then pour in the tamari sauce and honey (optional). Stir well to distribute the seasoning evenly. Let simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, until the liquid slightly reduces and the chicken becomes slightly caramelized.

5. Serving

Serve the chicken with vegetables on plates and sprinkle with sesame seeds. For a complete meal, pair it with basmati rice or couscous.

Storage

This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Freezing is not recommended.
